Like most people, my love for nut butters don't just end with their purest form. For a quick and efficient energy boost I love to bake these adorable almond butter protein bites! I'm no chef by any means, so I always seek out an easy bake recipe. Lucky for me not only are these bites easy to make, but also require very few ingredients, most of which people already have in their kitchen. These local ingredients and simple steps make it an even more exciting opportunity to introduce kids to baking while enjoying a healthy homemade almond snack.
Ingredients
½ cup almond butter
2 Tablespoons of honey
¼ cup of almond meal
¼ cup of vegan protein powder
¼ cup of zante currants
1 Tablespoon almond milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a medium bowl, mix almond butter and honey together.
Beat in the almond meal, protein powder, zante currants, almond milk, and vanilla until well blended.
Scoop cookie dough by level Tablespoons onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and flatten with a fork.
Bake for 15-20 minutes. Let cool thoroughly on a wire rack.
Enjoy!
